Did you know? Over 1 million older people over the age of 75 living in the UK, say they often go over a month without speaking to anyone at all.
We are a local volunteer-lead charity based in Cleethorpes who have been providing friendship and support to older people across North East Lincolnshire since 2006. Our support is aimed at reducing loneliness and isolation and improving older peoples quality of life.
We are passionate about improving the quality of life of older people and offer friendship and support to people over 60 living in North East Lincolnshire who may be feeling lonely and isolated. Through the support of our services, we help them to regain confidence and independence so that they can once more become a vital part of their community.
Our services are open to anyone aged 60 or over residing in North East Lincolnshire. More than 2 million people in England over the age of 75 live alone, and more than a million older people say they go over a month without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member. By providing friendship and support tailored to the individual Friendship at Home help reduce the feeling of loneliness and isolation for older people in our community.
